Adding items to the cart
Before starting to purchase items in the shop (in B2B mode), customers need to authenticate themselves in the shop. To do so, the customer account needs to be enabled and verified in Admin or by email. Customers also need to set their passwords. Exceptionally, when the application is in B2C mode, customers can access the shop as guests without authentication, but they need to verify their age instead (see Age verification window image).
Usually, products are added to the cart from the product detail page, where customers can see all relevant information about the products. In some cases, it is also possible to add products to the cart directly from the shop page using a quick-add action. Quick-add option depends on the product configuration (see Product chapter). Quick-add option can also exist on some custom pages created with Netgen layouts.
Adding a product to the cart opens a cart drawer window (see Cart drawer window image). The cart drawer contains the most essential information about the current cart - items added along with their names, prices, quantities, Lot numbers and strain descriptions. On the bottom of the window, there are 'View cart' and 'Checkout' buttons linking directly to the cart and checkout pages. Also, a cart subtotal value is listed. The cart drawer can also be manually opened by clicking on the cart icon in the shop header (see SellStack shop header image).
