Invoices

The Invoices section in SellStack allows customers to view and review their issued invoices originating from the company’s Dynamics 365 ERP system. Each invoice synchronized from Dynamics 365 reflects the exact billing information recorded in the ERP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.

Invoices in Dynamics 365 are represented through two entities:

  • Invoice Header – contains general information such as invoice number, dates, and customer references.

  • Invoice Line – contains detailed line items related to each invoice, including product references, quantities, and prices.

SellStack mirrors this structure through corresponding entities:

  • Invoice – represents the invoice header data.

  • InvoiceItem – represents the individual lines associated with the invoice.

SellStack maintains a one-way integration with Dynamics 365. Invoices are imported from Dynamics 365 into SellStack in near real-time, typically within 60 seconds after they appear in the ERP. The synchronization process consists of two steps:

  1. Invoice Header Synchronization

  2. Invoice Line Synchronization

Once synchronization is complete, the invoice becomes visible in the customer’s account dashboard, under the Invoices section. This page displays a list of all invoices connected with businesses associated with logged-in customer. Each record includes the invoice number, order number, document date, and due date.

When a customer selects an invoice from the list, SellStack opens the Invoice Details page, which provides a complete overview of the document synchronized from Dynamics 365. The top of the page clearly displays the invoice number for easy reference, while the main content area shows all individual invoice lines exactly as they were issued in the ERP system.

Each invoice line represents a specific billed item, showing the product name, line number, unit price, quantity, and total line amount. In some cases, where a product reference no longer exists or has been removed from SellStack, the product name will appear as “Unknown.” This ensures that all financial data remains visible and consistent with the original invoice, even if certain product data is no longer active in the system.

On the right-hand side of the page, a summary panel presents the key invoice information such as the invoice number, related order number, document date, due date, and the total invoice amount. These values are imported directly from Dynamics 365 and represent the official accounting data. The total amount includes all invoice lines combined.

Below the details section, another panel displays business information associated with the invoice. It lists the entities involved in the transaction — typically showing the “Sell to” customer and the “Bill to” company.
