Zones
The Zones configuration tab in the SellStack Admin interface allows administrators to define and manage geographical or logical groupings of countries, provinces / states or specific zones. Zones play a key role in determining tax, shipping and pricing rules across different regions.
A zone can consist of one or more members, which may represent entire countries, specific provinces, or even other zones. This flexible structure enables the creation of nested or composite zones, supporting complex geographical configurations such as “European Union,” “North America,” or “Domestic Shipping Area.”
SellStack comes with two zones by default - “United States of America” and “Rest of the World”.
Each zone must have a unique code and name, and its scope determines where it is applied (e.g., tax calculation, shipping eligibility, or promotions). When configuring tax or shipping methods, zones are used to define the applicable regions for those rules.
Proper configuration of zones ensures that customers receive accurate tax rates, shipping options, and pricing based on their location.
