Businesses
A business entity in SellStack represents an organization or licensed purchaser (e.g., dispensary, clinic, wholesale client) and is equivalent to a Customer entity in Dynamics 365. Each Customer in SellStack can be associated with multiple Business entities (as shown later). In B2B mode, customers place orders on behalf of the selected Business entity. Each Business can have its own pricing, depending on its price group. The Business can also be bound to a certain location¹, limiting its access. In the following pictures, we can see how to create a new Customer record in Dynamics 365, which (if done properly) creates a new Business record in SellStack. In the General Information section (customer card general section image), the No and Name fields are mandatory, as are the Customer Price Group and Salesperson Code fields. In the address section (customer card address and invoicing sections image), it’s required to set the address, country code, city, state (if the country is the US or Canada), and zip code. Use two-letter abbreviations for setting country (e.g., US) and state (e.g., GA). This address data will be the billing address for all orders placed on behalf of this business. Setting the Email field is not mandatory. Set the Customer Posting Group in the invoicing section (customer card address and invoicing sections image). If an MSO mode applies to your organization, set the location¹ in the shipping section (customer card shipping section image). Finally, save your new customer in Dynamics 365.

Go to SellStack’s Admin panel in the Businesses section and find your new Business record. It is possible to filter businesses by their name. Clicking on the Details button redirects you to the Business details page, where you can check if all data has been synced correctly. Business data can only be viewed in SellStack - editing is possible only through Dynamics 365.
